We walk the talk

In addition to helping our clients mitigate the risk of their project turning into chaos, throughout our use of advanced methodologies and client communication protocols, we’re committed to adhering to the strictest environmental standards.

 In everything we do, we try to do more good than harm. Unfortunately, removing hazards currently requires trucks and equipment. We do everything we can to champion the development of green innovations for our industry, but until technology catches up, we’re making the effort to offset what we emit by purchasing carbon offset credits specifically targeting Canadian-based projects.

We call on all our competitors to do the same – and if anyone can show us a greener way, we’re happy to follow. In the meantime, we’re proud to be leading our industry towards a “carbon neutral” footprint.

FERRO and Carbonzero.ca

There are many carbon credit companies out there – but we particularly like Carbon Zero because we’re able to specifically target Canadian-based projects. As a local small business, we like that Carbon Zero helps us support the planet, while helping our fellow entrepreneurs. 

The latest project we helped to support was the Landfill Gas Utilization Project (LGUP), a facility designed for the collection, capture and recovery of landfill gas (LFG) originating at Niagara Waste System’s East Landfill. After collecting the LFG, the LGUP cleans, dehydrates and compresses the recovered LFG and transmits it through a pipeline to be utilized in a boiler system of a recycled paper mill in Thorold, Ontario.
